There is no emergency surcharge at our practice — ever. You pay the same rate as any regular appointment, and we process all major health fund claims on the spot via HICAPS.

No — never. We do not charge an emergency surcharge. You pay the same standard appointment fee regardless of when you come in or how urgent the situation is.
Severe toothache, a knocked-out or cracked tooth, a dental abscess or swelling, a lost filling or crown, broken dentures, or a sports-related mouth injury all qualify as dental emergencies. If you're unsure, call us and we'll advise you over the phone.
Pick the tooth up by the crown (not the root), rinse it gently with milk or saline, and try to place it back in the socket if possible. Keep it moist and call us immediately — a knocked-out tooth has the best chance of being saved within the first hour.
We offer after-hours phone consultations to advise you and arrange the earliest possible appointment. During our opening hours (Mon–Fri 9am–9pm, Sat 9am–5pm) same-day appointments are available.
