How We Help
Most people are unaware they need a filling until it's found during a routine check-up. That's exactly why regular dental visits matter — we can detect and treat decay at its earliest stage, when a small filling is all that's required.
Left untreated, a small cavity quickly becomes a large one, eventually reaching the inner pulp of the tooth and requiring root canal treatment or extraction. A timely filling today prevents a far more complex and costly procedure tomorrow.
All fillings at our practice are composite resin — matched precisely to your tooth colour and bonded directly to the tooth structure. Unlike amalgam, they require less removal of healthy tooth and set instantly, so you can eat and drink as soon as you leave the chair.
We never use amalgam. All fillings are tooth-coloured, mercury-free composite resin — safe, durable, and virtually invisible.
The Process
Most fillings are completed comfortably in under an hour — in a single visit.
We take digital X-rays to identify the full extent of decay — including between teeth and below the gum line where it can't be seen.
Local anaesthetic is applied so you feel nothing during the procedure. We take the time to make sure you're completely comfortable before starting.
All decay is carefully removed, leaving only healthy tooth structure. The cavity is then shaped and prepared for the filling material.
The tooth-coloured composite is applied, shaped and light-hardened. We adjust your bite and polish the filling so it feels completely natural.
Why It Matters
Treating decay early with a filling is the most cost-effective way to protect your teeth long-term.

Yes. We can safely remove old amalgam fillings and replace them with tooth-coloured composite restorations. We follow strict protocols during removal to minimise exposure.
